After a year-long hiatus, Beer and Life is getting revived!
This blog started in 2016 with a goal to do something interesting with my spare time and to explore the wonderful Minnesota beer community. I spent two years (nearly to the date) visiting every existing brewery in the state of Minnesota. After 143 taproom visits, a couple closures, and a few openings, my work was complete. While the beer had been fantastic, and the people were even better, I needed a break. Rather than spending the last year driving across the state to visit breweries, I occupied myself with working at one instead. Not exactly a break, but damn is it fun.
During my hiatus, nearly thirty breweries opened. I added a handful of them to my “visited” list as I wrote about them for other publications, but that still left me with twenty-four new places to drink. With the approaching of my anniversary and a lengthy list of taprooms to tackle, this felt like the perfect time to restart.
So, friends, prepare your inboxes for new, regular updates from Minnesota’s taprooms.
