One of the many treats of drinking at Brau Brothers is that just about everybody else in Marshall is drinking there, too. That includes the mayor, who I coincidentally sat next to at the bar. It wasn’t until after he discussed the many interesting sites in Marshall that he revealed his true identity.
The brewery has a long history in the area, including several moves to accommodate their growth. The current taproom is an expansive space filled with booths and tables for food service as well as beer consumption.
I settled in with a 3 trees IPA and enjoyed the conversation. Mayor Byrnes gave me advice, telling me, “As long as you have a positive attitude, everything will turn out.”
Perhaps having a sunny outlook on life attracts new opportunities, or maybe it just helps you get through the crappy times with fewer bumps and bruises. Regardless, a bit of the cup-half-full mindset surely won’t hurt.
